Anyone know.?

So I applied today for legal aid assistance to get full custody of my 2 1/2 yr old daughter. I’m 20 her dad is 24 our relationship was super toxic and abusive but I never reported him. 🤦🏻‍♀️ he left when she was 6 months to Mexico and doesn’t have papers he left on his own so I’m sure he won’t ever come back. I’ve tried to contact him plenty of times n he doesn’t say nothing. He doesn’t care about her. Well I was wondering about a charge I got earlier this year I had gotten a paraphernalia charge and I paid the fine and that’s it but I’m wondering if that will affect anything. Is there a chance they could take my daughter away because of that if I end up going to court for her custody. That’s the only thing I’m scared of. Btw I don’t do drugs that stuff they found in my truck was my friends I would take her to work so she left it in there bc she smoked that day before work and she left her things in there so she wouldn’t get in trouble at work then I got stopped n I guess they smelled everything n searched n found her things. She’s from Canada so she’s not here anymore n I don’t hang out with her anymore so I’m just scared about that. When I applied for the legal aid I accidentally told them it was a marijuana charge so they wrote that on the application. Should I tell them it was paraphernalia charge not a marijuana charge. N do y’all think they would take her away.?? 😞

I just really want full custody because if I want to go on vacation I can’t get her passaport unless he signs 🙁
