Healthy on a LOW Budget

This is sort of embarrassing. My family is going through a rough patch financially right now. We have everything we need, but we have to stretch our grocery bill pretty far. By that I mean, spending as little as possible every week. We already have a lot of stuff already, so for example, last week I made a meal plan and only spent $13 for the whole week. For next week I only spend $10. But on the flip side, I’m not eating how I want to. This means a lot of pasta, regular pasta at that; we can’t afford the whole wheat. I can only afford fresh vegetables for my snacks for the week, not for dinner every night.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?? Since we’ve been doing this I haven’t lost any more weight. I’ve lost 15 pounds so far, but that was spending $80 per week in groceries. Lots of fresh vegetables, berries, spinach, etc. The only thing I thought of was portion control, but that would just mean that I’m starving after dinner, and I don’t want to do that.

Any suggestions?? I’m struggling right now. I’m already buying the bare minimum, I don’t see how I can maneuver it to where I can buy the really healthy stuff.
