Chicken attack by dog

Anybody know anything about chickens and injuries?? I’ve had my chicken for a week and my dog broke in to coop and attacked.

It is wounded but still alive and alert. Wounds are bad but don’t look bloody or weepy and so far clean.

I don’t know whether to wait and see or take to vet.

I have a picture I can post of wounds but it’s slightly graphic.

This is my first chicken and my partner is away for the week so I’m a bit clueless and feel awful it got so injured. It’s definitely spooked but I don’t see obvious signs of distress.
