Gaslighting
Is it gaslighting to say things aren’t a big deal?
Example: I express my feelings and why. We discuss it for awhile and they state “This isn’t a big deal.” When I have confronted them about saying things aren’t a big deal and how I feel like it invalidates my feelings, they state that they aren’t invalidating my feelings and that my feelings are valid just the situation “isn’t a big deal.” To me that is literally the same thing, it’s stating that I shouldn’t feel the way I do because the situation “isn’t a big deal.”
Am I wrong and am I being gaslit?
