How much should my 19 month old weight for being 33.5in tall?

My little girl is 19 months old and we seen her doctor for her regular check up. She is 33.5in tall and weights 22lbs 1.5oz and a super healthy, happy girl. They told me that they would like to see more weight for how tall she is. We tried asking questions but they weren't really answered. Like what can we do to help her gain the weight she needs. My little girl is off and on about how good she eats. One minute she is eating everything in sight and then next its a fight to get her to take one bite. We started on pediasure to see if that will help her gain the weight she needs. And another thing I have no clue how much weight they would like to see her be at. He wants to see her back in 6 months which is her normal check up time, so I guess he isn't extremely worried at this point, but I would like her to be at the weight she needs. If anyone can help us out that would be great!

I would call the pediatrician and ask what you should be doing in terms of giving pediasure or not and how many meals/snacks to do. Be pushy with them if they aren't giving you solid information since that is their job. Follow Solid Starts and Kids.eat.in.color on Instagram for helpful tips. Don't ever force her to eat anything or put any pressure for her to take more bites, this will only make her a picky eater and not eat at all. Kids sizes vary so much. Typically they know how much to eat to give their body what it needs. It's normal for toddlers to eat one good meal a day and not much at other meals.

My son is 34 inches and weighs 23 lbs. He’s tall and thin, just like me and my husband. My pediatrician has never commented on his weight. I don’t know why your pediatrician would be concerned and give you pediasure unless your daughter is dropping off her growth chart. She’s at a healthy weight for her height.

My son is 33.86 tall and 30 pounds . However he is in 98th percentile for weight and 94th for height. This was around 17 months. He is a big little boy. 
I honestly wouldn’t worry about it too much if your doctor didn’t say much. I say this because at my sons previous appointment, (he missed his 15 month and saw the doc at 17 months- at the appointment prior to this one) we were told they would like to see him gain a little weight by one of the nurses because he is so tall. 
I didn’t do anything different with his diet, he drank whole milk. Then at the 17th month appointment I was told to go down to skim milk because he is so big. 😅 
I think as long as your baby is eating and trying new foods thats good. If she was losing weight I’d be more concerned. You can always try adding more protein into her diet. They have those protein purée pouches as snacks too. We use the fiber ones to help him poop. Lol however I think if you are really worried just call the doctor and ask again and tell them the first answer wasn’t good enough 😅

My son is almost 19m, he got measured 2 days ago and is 33.85 inches tall, and weighs 27.12 pounds.
They just compared those measurements to his own personal height and weight charts to make sure he’s following the curve, they didn’t say anything about them being in relation to each other but that might be because he is over the 85th percentile for both so he’s in proportion? As the other commenter said, we all come in different shapes and sizes, your child being happy and healthy is the goal!

I have a 19 month old tall girlie too! I’m going to guess around the same height as your babe only guessing because she wouldn’t let them get her height at her app lol 🙃 and she was 31 inches at 15 months. 
Anyway, she weighs 28lbs. 
I’m only saying this because I believe kids much like adults come in all shapes and sizes. 🤷‍♀️ I have friends who have kids close to my daughters age and they literally all vary in shapes and sizes. Some smaller and older than her and some younger and bigger than her. 
I guess if the doctor was concerned I would try but I wouldn’t stress about it at all. And the fact they weren’t giving you advice or how much weight she should gain etc is weird and makes it seem not important. 
Does she drink whole milk at all? I honestly think that’s why my daughter weighs what she weighs lol. And much like you said she will eat great some days and not eat much the next days which is totally normal for toddlers!
