TTC a baby to be born in August?

I am wondering whether to stop TTC for the next couple of months to avoid having a baby born at the end of the school year. I have read several articles saying that an August birthday can put a child at a disadvantage to their peers. What do you think?

I don't think it is about which month the baby is born, but more the genes and the family nurture.

I would love an August baby! It's the warmest month here and having a beach bday party would be so fun! Besides, at my daughters school they have end of the year "parties" for the kids who don't have birthdays during the school year :)

I was born in August, graduated at 17, and had no problems in school. I was in the top classes and got scholarships to college. I just had to wait longer than other people in my class to drive, but I didn't mind that, all my friends could drive me everywhere!!

Sorry also I'm born in July and when I graduated from highschool I was on the younger end. I was 17, all of my friends were 18 or turning 18 and I still had a month to go before I turned 18. I was on honour roll anyways. So again it all depends on the child.

My son is born aug 31st. If anything I believe he's right on par with the other students. His teacher can reason with him and explain a lot more to him than some other kids in his class. It all depends on the child and their upbringing and their personality. With my son I didn't want him raised how I was, with hitting an such so I explain everything to him and give lots of praise for good behavior and accomplishments.
