To move or not to move?

Ca

I've mentioned about my landlord being rude before. We've lived in our 3 bedroom house for about 4 years now. At first the landlord was great, but for the past year she's become more and more rude and keeps threatening us with eviction over literally the most trivial of things (e.g. theres some tree branches down the side of the garage from when next door cut down the shrub between the properties).

Anyway last time she inspected the property she was horreneous. From the moment we opened the door she was shouting because she didn't want Adam to hold Ivy during the tour (my dog is terrified of her so I sit in a different room holding him, plus I'm heavily pregnant and was super ill with a chest infection, it made more sense for him to walk around with Ivy than for me to look after both her and the dog). She knocked over one of my plant pots while checking if the windows worked and instead of cleaning up or apologising or something, she flat out told us we aren't allowed plant pots on the windowsill (never a rule, we've had them for 4 years). Then when inspecting outside she started shouting at Adam in front of Ivy because there's a crack in one of the patio tiles. This crack has been there since we moved in but she claims it was done this month and Adams motorbike (which he hasn't owned in 3 years?? 🤦‍♀️) did it and that we need to pay to replace it. Its clear she doesn't want us here, but any time we have money to move out she finds something for us to pay for even though it's never our fault. We spoke to citizens advice about social housing but they can't step in until she evicts us, which she never does despite threatening us for a year.

Our friend is due to move next month and his landlord is looking for tenants. Apparently he's laid back and doesn't care what we do as long as the house is tidy, also he accepts dogs (literally the only place we've found so far that does). Only problem is the 2 bedroom house is a lot smaller than our current house so we would have to downsize dramatically in a short amount of time, plus it's far away from my work and Ivy's school which is a big problem because I don't drive and due to my anxiety I don't use buses (but I'm willing to work on it). I don't know the area at all but it looks a bit run down, Also our 2nd baby is due later this month and our wedding is in February so it would be a chaotic time to move house. We recently had to take out a loan just to afford the last bit of our wedding but if we moved ASAP we would be able to save up by february because the rent is £250 less per month.

It would be such a big hassle right now, but at the same time we're tired of the constant harassment from our landlord 😓
