Should I tell my boyfriend he does this?

It took my boyfriend a long time to spend the night with me. Like almost 2 years of being together he refused to spend spend night at my house and wouldn't let me spend the night at his. He is finally comfortable with me spending the night. I noticed he had a lot of nightmares. He did tell me he didn't have a great childhood and a lot of what happened to him was awful. I noticed in his sleep, especially on nights he has nightmares he sucks his thumb in his sleep. I was wondering if I should mention or ask him about it?

Do not say anything because he will just feel embarrassed! Just comfort him when you notice he's having a nightmare.

He probably didn’t want you to sleep over because someone in his past mentioned it or made fun of him and he was afraid you would too 
Just support him if he has nightmares but there’s no need to ever mention the thumb sucking

So he suffers from night terrors, explain his not wanting to spend the night. He must be very conscious about it.
No I wouldn’t bring it up, I’d say he knows and it’s part of why he doesn’t like people knowing.
Just tell him your happy he was comfortable enough to spend the night and if did want to talk about anything your there for him

I wouldn’t. If he was already feeling uncomfortable, mentioning that might make him self conscious

More than likely he has PTSD. My bf has it and has nightmares every single night about his tour in the army. I have PTSD for other reasons. I’ll occasionally have nightmares n do the same thing. Don’t say anything as it’s embarrassing.
