Big life transitions-advice needed!

Kayla

Hey mamas! So I posted a while ago about my husband losing his job. We’ll he found a new one and it was an AMAZING offer! So very thankful for that. But we will be moving at the end of next week to a new city.

I’m wondering if anyone has advice for how to help the transition be as smooth as possible for our June babe? We will be building a home, so we will be renting for ten months and the rental is about 1/3 the size of our current home, so that will be an adjustment. It’s on the ground floor and looks out over a wooded area similar to our current backyard. He will have his own room and is still in his crib, so we think keeping him in his crib for a month or two at the apartment will ease the transition. The apartment also has some fun amenities like an indoor pool that I think will help him be excited.

He will also be starting a new daycare. This is what I’m most nervous about. He’s been at the same place for his entire life and I literally cried the other day when I dropped him off because he was so excited to see his friends. I feel like I’m ripping him from familiarity. The new place is run very similarly to his current center, so that will help, but how can I help him further in this transition?

Gah I’m just so nervous. I moved every 3 years as a kid and never really struggled, so I know he’ll be OK, I just hate having to do this to him.
