Mom throwing my daughter a party and Bf upset

Me and my bf decided to take our daughter to Disneyland for her birthday. My mom wants to throw a party for our daughter and offered to pay for it just so she can see how my daughters face when she gets to her party. Now I asked my bf if he wants to invite one of his aunts and told me no. I only told him bc all my family will be there and none of his . He made a remark saying why is my mom throwing her a party when we agreed no party. I told him we weren’t throwing her a party but if someone else wants to why can’t they? And he said because she doesn’t need a party. I don’t like how my mom can’t throw her a party because he says no he’s not even the one throwing it my mom is. My mom wants to do it out of her kind heart. I don’t see why he has to be a jerk and try to ruin it. He even said I’m not going to help with anything I’m not throwing the party your mom is. My mom was nice enough to say he could invite some of his friends and his aunt to the party but he said no. So when the day comes I hope he isn’t mad that all my family is there including my dads side (my mom & dad are divorced). Because I almost feel like he will be upset but I tried to tell him and he didn’t want to talk about her party anymore.
