Second period after pregnancy

Was anyone else’s period really heavy after having a baby? This is my second period since I gave birth, I don’t remember my periods being this heavy after having my other two kids.. ( when I say heavy I mean I started yesterday and woke up this morning to go pee and the toilet water was dark red and a lot and then it was obviously in the pad the first 30 mins and I changed but it looks like it’s slowed down a little? Is it because I slept so long and got up and it’s just coming out now or is it heavy and is this normal?
