Newborn sick of fluid after c-section?

Question

I have a 1 week old who was delivered via c-section. Her pediatrician that we visited 4 days ago said the “congested” sound we’re hearing is her working through the fluid in her body that hasn’t made its way out yet. I’m scared she has a cold (her older sister does), but no fever and nose frida isn’t pulling anything out. Does anyone else have experience with this? I’m very nervous for her.

Same! My little guy threw up fluid in the first few days and is still congested sounding sometimes. The doctors said the same thing, it’ll take a while for the fluid to clear their bodies.

My daughter was similar. Took a few weeks to clear out.

My son is 8 days and delivered c-birth.  We are having the same issues. Sneezing too.
When I put him down to sleep it sometimes keeps him up and he starts crying bc of it.
Just waiting for it to clear up.

Yes. May take a few weeks to clear. It's very common with C-section babies.
