How to be fully protected?

Question

I wanna lose my virginity to my boyfriend but I wanna be fully fully safe. 
I’m going on birth control tomorrow. Of course condoms. But I’m not sure if he knows how to actually put it on. I’m gonna be his first body too and he said he knows but I’m not exactly too sure. 
I’m only 16. And I truly don’t wanna get pregnant.

BC takes about 2 months of consistent and proper use to be safely used against pregnancy (at least that’s what my doc said with all forms I have taken). Discuss any questions you have with the doctor who prescribed it, they are usually very upfront with that info. If you can’t truly consent to the possible consequences of sex (pregnancy), then I would wait the 2 months (snd combine BC with condoms) Since that is the most effective method (but even then keep in mind it isn’t fool proof). Or reconsider your plans since you arnt ready to consent to the possible consequences. Definitely discuss what options are best for you with your doctor👍

I agree with the previous two comments about the birth control and the waiting period. 
As far as how to use the condom, there are instructions that come with them that will tell him how to put one on. If it is on the right way it will roll down easily, if it's the wrong way it won't roll down, it shouldn't ever need to be forced. He could also practice putting one on in his own privacy a few times before you need to use one together. Both so he knows to use it correctly as well as his own comfort level. 
For ease of both of your first times, I would also recommend using a water based lube, and just go very slow to start. 
I also commend you for taking the proper steps for health, prevention, and not just getting caught up in the heat of things. 
And lastly as another mentioned, even birth control paired with condoms is not full proof. So make sure you are both prepared emotionally and mentally for this next step, as well as the possible unwanted side effects.

Red the pamphlet in your birth control pack. It’ll tell you how long it’ll take before it is fully effective. I’d wait until that period of time is over, some take a week to be fully effective, some say it take a full pack, then still use condoms as an extra back up & you’ll be about as protected as possible
