How to make sure my daughter gets taught the truth about history and other things in public school?

I’m a little nervous that my daughter won’t learn the truth about history at her public school. I want her to learn about how things actually were, and not some censored, white washed, let’s make us look good version. I also want her to learn about things like Chanaukah as well as Christmas. Homeschooling is not an option. I don’t want her in a religious school either. We are definitely doing public school. Having said that, how can I ensure she’s learning what I feel is most important? Is that even possible? I don’t know enough about history and various beliefs and different ways of life to teach those things to her myself. Sure you might say that I should educate myself more and then just teach her myself but there is soooo much information out there about so many things. I wouldn’t know where to start! Ideally I’d find some kind of left leaning, all inclusive, nature included type of school but I understand that isn’t possible. Is there some sort of supplemental curriculum that goes by grade that I could sign her up for or something?
