Pregnancy test related help !! Lol

Okay so my period is 8 days late I took a test 30 minutes ago it came back negative right away within seconds. How long before I take another? Should I take the second one right now or wait a few more days ? I’d like to add that it’s usually never late and I did experience a little spotting 1 1/2 weeks ago . Yesterday I wiped it was pink but nothing since . Should I be worried?
