Advice Please

I recently signed a contract with a doula, but then I suspected tax fraud as she asked me to send her a tax free payment type on a popular payment app...i am feeling uneasy and would like to back out of the contract, but I fear that if I request to cancel the contract she could want to legally settle... I'm pregnant and don't want anything to do with legal disputes.... should I just stick with her as my doula?
