Sonoline Fetal Doppler

Has anyone not found their baby’s heartbeat using the Sonoline B Fetal Doppler and their baby been okay? I’m 13+4 and overweight. I tried using one for the first time tonight and couldn’t find anything. I’m trying not to panic (which is why I held off on buying one in the first place but caved). My next appointment isn’t until the 17th. Should I try to get one sooner? Ugh, I hate this.
