Breastfeeding question

Tiffany • Girl mama of 3 💕 Happily Married 💍 RVT 🐾

My daughter was born 3 days ago. My milk supply kicked into high gear today! I'm leaking like crazy, both of my breasts are huge and uncomfortable. I've been massaging my breasts (from back of the breast to the areola), and have gotten a lot of milk out but just reproduce again just as quickly. I feel like I'm wasting my supply but I'm uncomfortable and my daughter is eating every 2 hours, but only for average of 14 minutes in total. Not each breast. (Pediatrician told me today that shes not concerned about her feeding pattern right now, I did check)

My husband thinks I should start pumping but I'm wondering if it's too soon to start pumping or if I should consider another option? I'm obviously new to breastfeeding.
