Scariest time of my life
I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension and diabetes. Due to this, my OB informed me that they had to induce birth at 38 weeks. On my 38th week, I was admitted. Although my PCR test came back negative, the hospital had to admit me to a COVID ward since my husband tested positive for COVID. Since I was in a COVID ward, I was not allowed to have any companions and/or guests for the whole duration of my admission. My OB started with the induction and it took more than 24 hours before my cervix was 6cm dilated. Because 6 hours (not sure if 6 or 8) passed with no progress, my OB decided to perform an emergency C-section. During my 5 day stay at the hospital (recovery period included), i was scared and alone. It was tough but I thank God for the safe delivery of my baby boy.
