Toddler-Friendly Christmas movies?
I'm looking for suggestions. Last night I turned on a movie for my 2.5 year old daughter as a treat. It looked like it was going to be about a cute dog. She loves dogs. It was called like "Santa Paws" or something.
But it was actually really sad. It was about an orphan. Which she couldn't understand. She was scared of the "mean lady" and kept saying the little girl was sad. Then at one point the dog turns into a stuffed animal and the lady throws him into the fire. My daughter flipped out. All she said up until she fell asleep was, "Pupoy get too hot! Puppy get too hot! Lady take puppy away and puppy get too hot!" Sigh. I told her the puppy would be okay. She woke up this morning asking about it. We are finishing the movie and I pray this has a happy ending. 😅
Anyways, what movies might be more appropriate? She likes to watch movies as a treat sometimes and I thought a festive movie would be fun!
Edit: Unfortunately, my husband boycotts Mickey Mouse, so we likely won't be able to watch that one. We are using Disney Plus, but only because we do not pay for it. Haha. He doesn't want our daughter obsessed with Mickey, as we won't purchase any Mickey items for her and she will eventually be very sad.
