Cough/cold medicine for almost 3 year old?

Do you use cough/cold medicine for your child at this age? Just curious. It’s confusing because they sell it but then if you google it they say not to. My daughters cough is making sleeping hard for her so that’s why I was wondering if I could give her something. The constant illness of daycare is the worst! (Note: she does not have covid, just a cold) TIA!

I’ve always used zarbees cough plus mucus. It’s worked great for my girls.

Zarbees or hylands. If that doesn’t help, I’ve used dimatapp cold and cough. Doctors recommend just straight honey for a cough though so maybe try that. When my son has a cough, I use vicks vapor rub on his chest at bedtime.

I used homemade cough medicine until they are older and can use real cough medicine. My pediatricians office gave it to me and they also have on their website. 
Homemade Cough Medicine:
Mix together:
2 ounces of water
2 tablespoons of light Karo Syrup
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Give 1 teaspoon every 2 or 3 hours as needed.

I have a 2 yr old. I use hylands or zarbees . Lots of vicks. You just have to read carefully some says children’s but the age they can have it isn’t until 4

The only options that you're going to get is homeopathic because you're not supposed to use cough medicine on any child younger than 6. You might get results with some of them you might not the best thing for you to do is just use honey and humidifier and Vicks vapor rub (I prefer the homeopathic version of this as well)
