From my experience it’s really just about fit! My nephew for example did great in pampers until he started crawling. But then they just didn’t seem to fit as well and my sis switched to Huggies. I would just try both brands in small packs or even other brands if you’re interested and see what works best for you!

I am actually making the switch right now from Huggies to Luvs mostly because of price difference here. Our store has a 148 size 4 for $40+ in Huggies and 144 size 4 for like $20+ in Luvs. They seem to work very well and my son hasn't had a reaction to them at all. 
Pampers I felt were always a little small and needed to size up sooner and overnights would have the top of the diaper exploding the material out of it and Huggies seemed to last longer in one size. Definitely holds more than Pampers in my opinion. So out of those two I'd go with Huggies if you're dead set on one of those brands ❤

I actually like using Luvs! I’ve used them both times around and plan to start stocking up on some for this baby on the way 💖 plus they are more affordable option from what I know!

I prefer huggies. Specifically snug and dry. Pampers rashed out my second. They also didn’t go up high enough in the back and always had blow outs. Luvs have ultimately been what have worked best though and most affordable.
