I am 25 years old and I have no children. Why? Idk i just haven't wanted them in all honesty.

I have literally never ever had irresponsible sex. For the first few years of being sexually active I was paranoid about getting pregnant. I was on the shot, used condoms and had my boyfriend pull out too. Then I'd sit and check for leaks.

Yeah, I did not want a baby that bad and everyone convinced me that getting pregnant was so easy. I was told to not trust birth control.

The only time it EVER came close is when I had switched birth control types from non hormonal to the pill and I was only on it for 4 days when it takes 7 to be effective and we used a condom but it broke. So I went and got a plan b.

That is literally the only accident I've ever had. I have an IUD now and I've had it for years. So far, it's done it's job.

I was asked today if I had kids. Then I was asked how old I was, and she said "oh my god. Are you freaking infertile? Have you ever even TRIED to have a baby to make sure?" And I was like "uh. Why would I TRY to have a baby just to make sure I'm not infertile? You try for a baby when you WANT a baby? I have a gynecologist and they told me I'm perfectly healthy in the reproductive area."

Like that's just.. so fucking rude. What if I WAS struggling with infertility? Way to throw it in my face that you think something MUST Be wrong with me. Like I am just one of those lucky people that birth control has always worked for. I never used it wrong, I always was cautious even in a very comfortable 7 year long relationship. Sometimes people slip up and aren't cautious. I've never done that.

Sometimes birth control just flat out fails at its job. That's never happened to me. Why is that so hard to believe?
