How would you feel?

Question

If your husband keeps smoking cigarettes inside your bedroom even tho you told him to stop what would you do? 
Today when I went in the shower I came back to our room and it smelt like he’d just smoked but then at first he said oh no it’s isn’t my jacket I didn’t smoke but I’m not dumb I know he smoked in there. He eventually admitted he did and then I got upset and I was crying. Not necessarily because of the smoking just because of how easily he lied to me. Then he said I’m being childish for crying over a cigarette. Am I ?
And yes I am pregnant and yes before the pregnancy I wouldn’t mind him smoking in the house. So I get it hard thing to adjust to but I also use to smoke and it was hard for me to quit but I still done it and it’s not like I’m telling him quit just smoke outside and he still can’t do it.

Smoking inside is disgusting to begin with. And now that you’re pregnant, it’s incredibly disrespectful for him to smoke around you. How hard is it to go outside? Or bare minimum stick your head out the window? If he can’t do it while you’re pregnant, he’s going to be blowing smoke in your newborns face without a care in the world.

Um. If you are pregnant then he should 100 percent be smoking outside only and nowhere in your vicinity. Secondhand smoke on a consistent basis is dangerous to your growing baby. 
In that case I’d have left his ass and spent all of his money staying in a hotel. A nice one. With room service. 
If you’re not pregnant, well you married a smoker and obviously have lived a life where smoking inside the house is acceptable. So now you have to decide if that’s a dealbreaker for you or not.

HE HAS GOT TO STOP THAT!!! It can cause so much harm to your baby even if you only smoke passively. It is absolutely unacceptable that he still smokes inside your home especially considering that you gave up smoking for your baby. For the sake of your child you need to make that very clear so you can give birth to a happy healthy baby! ♥️ That’s the least he could do for his child in my opinion.

He's completely disrespecting your feelings and baby's health. He sounds incredibly selfish. If he doesn't care now, will he care when the baby is born?

Being a parent is about being selfLESS. If he can’t even go smoke outside, how can he possibly put a baby first?? Do whatever you need to do to make him stop. If it was me, I’d do what the other poster said and stay in a hotel until he gets the picture. If you need to make a man act right, ACT WRONG.

Sounds like he needs a reality check. Id be upset too. He needs to get used to smoking outside now because when the baby is here he won't be able to smoke inside either! I would put my foot down on this because it's a matter of the health and safety of your baby!

Can you provide more background information? Is this the first time you’ve caught him smoking inside? Or the 36th? Has he firmly agreed previously to not smoke inside now that you are pregnant? Or did you mention it to him but he never agreed?
Second hand cigarette smoke is not good particularly for pregnant women or babies. But it is difficult to tell if he is aware of the danger and does not care, unaware of the severity of side effects/risk, or if he is just having a very hard time quitting - it’s extremely addictive. There are a lot of other things he could be doing instead of smoking cigarettes inside, like using mints, gum, or vaping instead.

I would let him know how harmful second hand smoke is especially during pregnancy and ask if that is what he wants to do to his unborn child. Also he better gets used to smoking outside because the smoke can seriously harm a babies lungs.
