When did you introduce a bottle?

I know what the official guidelines say!!! And I know every baby is different. But truthfully, all the babies in my family/ close circle of friends who were BF primarily took bottles as well from the start (as in week 1) with no issues. No nipple confusion or latch problems, nothing. All great and easy feeders. 
Not saying my baby will for sure get lucky like that (but we can hope 🙏🏼), but my life experience has not shown nipple confusion and those issues to be as prevalent as people make it seem. If anything I’ve seen more of an issue with babies refusing the bottle altogether when not introduced to it early on.
I might need to go back to work earlier than 4 weeks depending on financial stuff so waiting until the official guideline of 4-6 weeks might not be possible. Anyone feed their baby from a bottle earlier and have it turn out ok?

It's not nipple confusion that's the problem, but nipple preference - its way less work to drink from a bottle than to nurse, and baby ends up overfeed. That's why pace feeding bottles is super important.

With my first, I tried to introduce a bottle at six weeks. He never accepted it.  
With my second, I tried to introduce a bottle at 4 weeks. He never accepted it. 
With my third, we were forced to introduce a bottle at 7 days. He wasn't latching well, wasn't gaining weight, wasn't pooping enough. This was June 2020, at the height of Covid, and before everyone was vaccinated so I didn't feel comfortable going to see an LC. He readily accepted the bottle but never got better at the breast. By 2/3 months, he stopped accepting the breast all together and ended up strictly bottle fed.

She took her first and only bottle at 5 months. I’m glad it’s an option if necessary.

While not every baby is like this, we introduced a bottle at less than a month (I’m not sure exactly when, I’m sorry), he took it right away and it didn’t cause any issues with breastfeeding. He still seemed to prefer breastfeeding, but definitely wouldn’t refuse the bottle.

I introduced the bottle at 5 weeks and baby refused. She never ended up taking it. It was very difficult with working and daycare. With my second I will introduce in the first week or two.
