Pre-eclampsia and blood pressure?

I'm starting to get worried about pre-eclampsia... My blood pressure has always been 110/65 or so, but on Thursday of last week it was 132/68. I know it isn't TERRIBLE, but since then my feet have swollen badly and my ankles are now cankles. I can barely fit into shoes... The swelling happened in a matter of a day. What was your blood pressure if you had pre-eclampsia with a previous pregnancy, or what sins/symptoms did you have? Thanks! The doctor wants me to come in to get checked today because of the swelling.

I had preeclampsia with my son. I started developing it the last 3 months. I was induced on my due date after giving a urine sample to check my protien level. My signs/symptoms were: bad swelling(i couldnt stand for more than 30 mins before my ankles swelled like a balloon), burgled vision, high BP, and dizziness. 
With this pregnancy, my doc odered a 24 hour urine sample at 16 weeks. I go tomorrow and get the blood and urine results back. Im now 21 weeks. Im hoping i dont have it again.

My bottom only got up to 90 and top 160 and he flipped and induced me at 38 weeks

I'm 33 weeks now at 26 weeks I went to l&d because my vision got really blurry I had a spike in my blood pressure because of anxiety while I was at work and at the time was having really bad swelling in my feet. L&d ordered a 24 hr urine to check protein even though my blood pressure went back to normal like 110/60 the only time it's high is when I have anxiety. But I did have protein in my urine so I got put on bed rest and since I have been on bed rest my bp is normal I hardly have any swelling so I technically haven't been diagnosed with pre e but they aren't really sure what's going on. So basically expect to have to do a 24 hour urine and monitor your blood pressure at home. At least that's all I've had to do.

My blood pressure was 128/80, so they aren't worried at this point. They will monitor the swelling though!

The highest was 170/90 that I remember, do you have headaches , blurry vision, or anything like that?

How far along are you? That was just one high BP Reading so I would not worry too much. Your doc may want to check your urine for protein which is another indicator of pre-eclampsia.

Lots of women retain water during pregnancy so unless you get consistent high BP readings try not to worry

It is generally the bottom number that's scary. My BP is naturally very low. When I was induced pre e with my first it was in the 140's over the 90's. For many people that is not so bad, for me it was awful. I was swollen like a blow fish and spilling protein in my urine and seeing spots. It wasn't good at all. I delivered him at 37 weeks. I didn't start spilling proteins until after 35 weeks. My swelling started about halfway through though and it got very bad.

Swelling during pregnancy can be very normal. The combination of BP, spilling proteins, and swelling can be bigger signs of pre e. Many women swell while pregnant though and it means nothing. If you stress about your swelling your BP will start to go up. You need to relax and trust the dr
