FTM having issues with breastfeeding

👧🏻Natalia & 👶🏻Isabella

Hi all my baby is 3 weeks old as of Friday and I’ve been breastfeeding and supplementing here and there with bottles when I would notice she wasn’t satisfied.

At her 2 week appointment the pediatrician was concerned that she wasn’t at birth weight yet she was down about 5 ounces so I made sure I was feeding her more often and giving her more formula that’s when I realized I was probably leaving her hungry because she was taking so much formula.

3 nights ago I even let her nurse most of the night just to make sure she was getting enough but when she woke up with a dry dipper I realized she only used me as a paci all night so I made sure to pump and giver her formula. Just yesterday I received my pump through insurance (I had been using Elvies in the mean time) and I’m only pumping an ounce on each breast in the morning and in the afternoon only half an ounce per breast. That’s with me pumping every 2-3 hours.

I tried a smoothly to boost my milk supply I’ve done the nipple stimulation also making sure I’m drinking a lot of fluids and eating well.

what else can I do 😞

I also have hashimotos hypothyroidism could this be affecting my milk supply? Do I still have a chance to increase my milk ?

Thank you for listening.
