Swelling after birth?

Anyone else experiencing extreme swelling in feet, legs, and ankles? I had my baby 4 days ago. No preeclampsia, no previous swelling during pregnancy, no BP issues. Just a little concerned because it’s VERY swollen. They came and checked my swelling in my feet and legs during my vitals in the hospital but I never had any swelling while I was there.

Yes. I’m the hospital they give alot of fluids. Those fluids take a little bit for your kidneys to rid the body of. Also, you have excess fluids from the delivery that still hang around. It took me about 3-6 weeks to get rid of. My first was closer to 3 weeks, second was longer. 
Granted if your BP spikes, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms, check with your doctor.

Yup! Totally normal too, unfortunately. Take an epsom salt foot bath/soak if you can, it will help pull some.fluid out. Helped me a lot with my last one. And keep your feet elevated?

Yes — had this with my first. It scared me and I called the ob who reassured me it was ok and normal. Call your doc if you’re worried!

Yes! My legs swelled the most and I was really concerned but it went away in about a week or so. I kept showing my doctor in the hospital and they reassured me daily that it was normal.
