Anyone else?

Question

We’ve made a short list of names that we like- it still has 10 names on it, so not real short, and I have just been struggling so much to feel like any of them are “the one”. I genuinely don’t think we’d regret any of them, but nothing stands out. My husband suggested that we wait and meet our baby, that we’ll see him and just know- but I’m so anxious that we’ll see him and still feel like none of the names fit. 
I’m 28 weeks btw and just feel the countdown getting closer.

I think going in with ten names would be stressful for me too. We aim to go in with three names and see what feels right.  Ten is a lot to deal with during that crazy exhausted postpartum period — I’d narrow it down more.
Can you say them out loud with the last name and rule out a few that don’t flow or that sound weird or are hard to say fast? Look at all the initials and see if any are awkward or are the well-known acronym of a disease or a hate group, and rule something out that way? Google the first and last, and then the first and middle, and eliminate any that have (strong, enduring) associations you don’t like? Try to come up with ways to tease a kid with each remaining name, and rule out any that feel too upsetting?
This is the kind of stuff we did to help narrow down when we had too many names we loved.

I waited with both babies and love the final names we chose. Don't pressure yourself into making a decision. We left hospital with no names and toon out time observing baby and naming them based on their personality.

I would just say them around the house the next few months to try them on. One might stand out to you more that way or you might find you dislike speaking the name that often.
