Epidural before foley induction or after?

Hello ladies I’m going to be getting induced soon still waiting for a room. I’m planning on getting the epidural when the real pain starts but what do you guys recommend? Should I get the epidural before foley being inserted or after?

It was an odd feeling, but nowhere near needed to get an epidural for. Pitocin on the other side 😫

Before the foley! Worst pain ever! Worse than labor in my opinion. If you have the opportunity get the epidural before !

I didn’t have a problem with the foley induction. It just felt strange when I got up to use the restroom. I didn’t get an epidural with my first until it was out already for about 2 hours.

Before! I’ve never had the foley but I got my epidural right away when I was induced and it was amazing! Zero pain

I got the foley first and had 0 issue. I was up and walking around with it and I think that that is what helped my labor progress so quickly. I was barely half a cm dilated when it was placed and had dilated that much over 4 hours. Got the foley, the doc told me it would take 12-24 hours to get to 4cm when they would take it out and break my water. I walked around, bounced on a ball, rocked on all 4’s for about 3 hours and it fell out. I was almost 7cm. that’s when I got the epidural.
