Singe life-how do you spend your weekends?

I’ve been separated from my husband for over a year and the weekends have always been tough. I’m now 32, no kids. My friends are married with kids. My other friends go out and drink like they are 21. Sometimes I go but I don’t enjoy wasting my entire weekend being hung over. I used to work every other weekend but I got a new job and have weekends off. How do you spend your time?

Every weekend kid free? What a dream lol I want to say I’d sew, go shopping, get my hair/nails done. But reality? I’d probably zone out in front of Netflix and enjoy the peace and quiet. Take a nap or 2 🤣

I get things done, that I didn’t have time to do during the week, grocery shopping, target, Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, all the stores that I need to go to for different things, I relax, catch up on my shows, read books, exercise, take walks, I get on here, I go to the mall, a pamper myself, manicure, pedicure, massage, cooking, baking, cleaning, there’s always some thing that needs to be done, laundry, etc. my mother loves to go to the casino, take up a hobby you never know what you’ll meet somebody, learn a language, pottery, painting, photography, take some college classes, credit or non-credit, volunteering, feeding the homeless, reading to the blind, Habitat for Humanity, get a second job, dog walking, get a job at the gym so your membership is free, babysitting, go to the movies, go out to dinner, exercise, do puzzles, coloring books, do you things you haven’t done since you were a kid, wine tasting, check out Groupon‘s they have everything, hot air balloon rides, whale watching, festivals, concerts, spa weekend, and was possibilities. ￼￼￼ and like I said you never know what you’ll meet somebody common interest, you already have that bond over, you could try dating, online or in person, some towns have community boards where they post activities, or group dating, speed dating, group hangouts, for singles, religious affiliates, there’s tons of things, they just had Christmas Con, not sure if they’re still doing comicon or not, booksignings, just go to Barnes & Noble‘s and hang out, have some dessert and coffee, read some books, poetry readings, take a trip somewhere go to New York, etc. do all the things you’ve always wanted to do, see a Broadway show, see the flowers in Washington DC when they bloom, enjoy life, just because you don’t have a partner children doesn’t mean you stop living. Life is cheaper that way you don’t have to pay for other people. No one makes a mess, you don’t have to clean up after anyone, enjoy life.￼￼

I’m not single but my bf works on weekends. I got a dog and I take him hiking or plan my days with activities like writing in my journal or planning a fun dinner. That type of stuff.
