Abscesses

Has anyone ever suffered the pain of an abscess?

I have recently gotten one near my lady bits that started out the size of a pea and now it seems like it is 15 peas. Super painful to walk, sit and even beginning to be painful while I’ll lay. The only moment of comfort is in a warm bath.

I have been to the doctors and they have started me off with an antibiotic and if it doesn’t get better in 48 hours they will have to make an incision to drain ( which I am extremely terrified of)

Has anyone else felt this pain? Idk if this is actual pain or if I’m a big baby.
