Walking?

My son is 14 months today and is not walking. He’ll take a step or two but doesn’t seem to have any interest in actually walking. He walks along furniture, but doesn’t try to walk independently. He crawls up a storm though. I just thought he’d be trying to walk by now as my 3 year old daughter was.
Should I be worried?

My son didn’t start walking until after he was 15 months! He still falls down here and there but he’s still learning.

Nope, dont be worried. I am assuming they are focused on other things like fine motor skills? Kiddos really only develop and focus on one skill at a time.

It can take up to 19 months for walking every kiddo is different. I don't think it's concerning if you do get concerned just get a referral to early development for physical therapy to be evaluated.

I used to work in childcare and every child is so different in when they start walking! Like the previous comment, I don’t think you need to worry until closer to 18 months, but you can always check with your pediatrician to see if they recommend intervention!

My daughters doctor said not to start worrying until closer to 18 months! My mom said I didn’t start walking until I was 15 months and my daughter didn’t start to walk until 13 months!
