Could I Be Testing to Early?

Hello so I was wondering if anyone could help answer this for me Dec 6th me and my husband had Sex 2x a few hours apart, the app showed I ovulated a few days before but my body said different, I had the clear stringy discharge the 6th before sex. My period is 6 days late now, I missed my whole cycle, I tested a few minutes ago and was Negative should I try to test again in a few days or do you guys think it’s negative I’m a little lost. Me and hubby are trying for children. This would be day 15 since intercourse. Thanks for any advise in advance!
