Amniotic Fluid

So I posted 2-3 weeks ago about my midwife saying I was measuring 4 weeks ahead based on my fundal measurements. On that appointment i was 24 weeks and measuring “28”. So today I went in for a growth scan and he is right on track and my due date did not change. What she did tell me was that I have more amniotic fluid than normal. And if it continued to increase it could put me in preterm labor. Has anyone gone through this? Or is happening right now? I have had 2 other pregnancies and they have been healthy and normal. She said it wasn’t anything I did that this just happens. She did tell me to decrease my sugar intake and see if that helped.
