How much does you’re baby eat?

Baby girls a month and 11 days and my pediatrician said I was feeding her way to much during her feedings for her age which i was feeding her 5oz each feeding .. how much are you mommy’s feeding you’re baby’s ?

I was under the impression that it was more about the total oz in a day. Not necessarily how much each feeding? If your baby is happy and not fussy or throwing up from over eating I would imagine it’s fine. I had a pediatrician tell me “it’s fine, baby’s throw up sometimes” when I was trying to get help for my first. Then at 4 months we went back and all the sudden baby was a failure to thrive because he had acid reflux and a milk protein allergy so nothing stayed down. Long story short, drs don’t know everything 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m assuming that’s formula?
My breastfed baby only eats 3-4oz every 3ish hours. I only know that because I pumped once for his biggest feeding and that’s what he ate.
He is a GIANT. 8lbs, 5oz at birth. 14lbs at his 2 month appointment 😅😂

That does sound like a lot but I do know that some babies do just tend to need more. Was she a particularly big baby when she was born? My son was 4.5kg at birth and that kid was born hungry.
Have you tried googling “pace feeding”? Sometimes the problem is that we just aren’t feeding them slowly enough - their little body doesn’t have time to send out the signal that they’re full before they’ve downed the whole bottle.
