anyone women in ohio, I just had my baby 2 days ago, how do I sign her up for Medicaid online?

Her first drs appt is tues, I wanna get her all set up with Medicaid ASAP. I’m on my fathers insurance still so I won’t be going on it, just her.

A day after my son was born, they sent a Medicaid agent to my room to personally ask if I wanted to sign my son and myself up for Medicaid even though I have insurance. I told them yes of course because it’s free healthcare. 
I was worried I would have a huge bill from my sons care in the NICU because obviously I didn’t get the insurance until after he was born. But to my surprise they activated his Medicaid the day he was born and took care of his expenses . 🙌🏽
 I’m in Ohio also.

If you have access to insurance, why don't you add your baby onto it? 
Idk of they will except it since you have insurance you can use.

Baby is not considered it’s own person in insurance’s eyes until they’re 30 days old. Even tho baby is the one the appointment is for, your insurance will be billed just like if it was you getting seen. Só rest assured you don’t have to have it all figured out within the next 2 days! Your pediatrician might even be able to help you get started with the process if you ask when you go in. 
Im not even able to activate my baby’s insurance until they’re a month old (unless I didn’t have insurance prior). That might be a carrier thing. I’m from Ohio and still on my parents insurance but as a secondary currently
