Sick on Metformin

Has anyone taken Metformin and been very sick from it? I’m talking vomiting/diarrhea about a week or two into it? I have PCOS and I conceived my first on Femara/Metformin combo. This time around (3.5 years later) I am all of a sudden deathly sick from Metformin. If I take in the day time, I have horrible stomach pains and diarrhea all day. Take it at night and I have vomited terribly the past two nights. I am ovulating later this week so I am going to stop taking it because I’d rather try to conceive than be sick but wtf is going on?! Anyone else experience this? Why do we all try to do every single thing right and the universe fights us?
