Do you think insurance will cover it?

I declined getting a NIPT in my first trimester. but once I hit 24 weeks my ob ordered for me to get one because the baby had a descended stomach and too much amniotic fluid, she said they had to rule out that the baby didn't have any abnormal chromosomes. Thankfully everything came back okay🙏.I know those tests can be very expensive and I was just curious if insurance ends up covering that type of test because it was medically needed? I tired to call but I can't get through to anyone to help answer that question. I have Blue Shield of California if that helps.
