What is a nap 😭😭

Baby girl is 8 months old and I can count on ONE hand how many times she has taken a nap longer than 30 minutes in the last MONTH. She will not nap longer than 30 minutes, even if I hold her the entire time. Three days ago she took a 3 hour nap and I nearly cried from relief. I've tried keeping her awake longer, putting her to bed sooner. None of it works. Does anyone else have babies who have decided naps are bullshit? Lol

Mine finally got over the hurdle with connecting sleep cycles and we had about a month of good naps and now we’re back to 30-40 min naps. It makes it hard to get down to 2 naps. Babe did have a minor surgical procedure so I thought that had thrown him off but now I’m wondering if this some sort of sleep regression. He also wakes himself up by flipping on his tummy and he’s not a fan of getting stuck there and doesn’t often fall back asleep. I feel your pain!

My first was like that all the time. She never napped for longer than an hour. Most were between 30-40 minutes. 
This little guy usually takes 1 long nap (1-2 hours) and sometimes 1 short nap (10-25 minutes).

Leap 6 starts roughly right at 8 months, the cranky period can last 4 weeks. Sometimes longer. We get 1 long nap usually a day and then the rest are about 30-40 mins
