Hemangioma ?

First time mom who has no idea what this could be. I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday but this mark is really bothering me. 
My daughter is 2 months, she had the red mark which I thought was a strawberry birth mark but now I’m noticed the bruised look to her skin and it’s raised.

My son has one! As long as it’s out of the way of eyes, nose, mouth, butt, they’re harmless!

Then again at 17 months old. It’s faded so much! It was very bright, raised and spongey feeling and now it’s very flat, losing color and going away!

My daughter has one on her leg that is about the size of a nickel. It has grown since birth but had stopped the I've noticed. She's 7 months now

Yep your right. Two of my kids had them when they were born. They grow really quickly for the first 6 months. Then by the time they are two usually go away or get flat and really light.

Looks like a hemangioma! Not a doctor though.
They are harmless. They grow in the first year and then shrink and fade/disappear. 
My girl has a pretty large one on her head! She’s 4 months old and we have already noticed it has stopped or slowed its growth. Her pediatrician and dermatologist aren’t concerned.

Looks like a hemangioma to me but I’m not a dr. My daughter had one on her arm. I didn’t notice it until a month after she was born. It was right in the crease of her arm and I freaked out thinking I pinched her or something. The doctor said it was a hemangioma. It grew for the first year and got darker then started to fade and shrink.
