How soon did you got your baby girl ear pierced? Was it from a professional ear piercer (like from a tattoo place) or from the mall? Do you need a certain vaccine to get them done?

Take her to a professional piercer when she is old enough to voice it. Projecting unnecessary/unwanted pain on your baby just because you think it’ll look cute isn’t okay imo

When she’s old enough to ask and it’ll definitely be done by a professional. Mall piercings are extremely unsanitary.

I got mine done in kindergarten when I was old enough to ask for it and understand what taking care of them means. It was a special day out with my mom where we went to lunch and got them done and picked out earrings. I like that she did it that way because I actually remember it and it was my choice to get them. Either way don’t go to Claire’s or anywhere that uses the guns, they are crap at piercing and super unsanitary.

I wouldn’t get my daughter’s ears pierced unless she vocalized that she wanted it done and was an appropriate age to understand what it entailed. That being said, I know some parents prefer to get ear piercing done at an age when the child won’t remember the pain. To each their own. If the latter applies to you, take her to a well reputed place. It’s easy to find one on Google reviews.

I had my ears pierced as a baby which is common in my culture but I’d advise mothers to wait and I will be if I have a girl. My ear piercings are a bit uneven because of how early it was done 🤦🏽‍♀️ and I was a Tom boy growing up so never wore earrings and the holes closed up so I ended up getting them repierced when I was like 18 anyway

I took my girls to our local medical centre where their GP was. When they were 5-6 weeks old. This was 8 and 10 I’m glad I did at that age because my eldest has autism so she would have been terrified all this time to do it and she LOVES wearing earrings and my 8 year old is also scared of pain and loud sounds due to PTSD and she also loves wearing earrings. No infections no dramas. At that age they can’t pull on them or tug them or anything

take her to a professional ear piercer. regardless of what anyone is saying, that’s your child at the end of the day so your opinion is what matters. i will definitely be taking my daughter and/or son to get their ears pierced as babies if i have children.

Please don’t go to the mall no matter what your decision ends up being. It actually explodes the ear lobe and your baby could end up with massive keloids. Definitely a professional piercer. I did my daughters at 1, they were crooked and she couldn’t sleep for crap. So we took them out, she’s now 15 and got them for her 15th birthday and is WAY happier about having been able to choose.
