Natural birth?

So I’m 4’9, this is my first baby, and my OB has every review saying he’s tried to force women into having a C-Section, I don’t want to argue, if it’s actually not possible for me to have a natural birth, due to my height. However I would rather have a vaginal delivery, so there’s no major surgery. Is there any other 4’9 woman on here who’ve given birth vaginally? How did it go if so?

Both my grandmothers are 4'9 and one had 3 vaginal births, the other had 5 vaginal births. 
Opt for induction at 39 weeks if you make it. Dont let your dr hijack you just because he things a csection is better. It's not. Thing to consider though. If you baby is over 9 pounds for your body size you might not be able to push it out, that being said, TRY. A normal labor is about 48 hrs for first baby sometimes as long as 72 hours. It just depends on how baby is doing and how you are progressing. Be your own advocate and if you can, hire and adoula!

You height and size have absolutely nothing to do with your ability to give birth.  Find a new dr.    I'm 5'2" and had to have a csection with my first but it was due to malpositioning my second was a successful vbac

I’m 4 9 and had a vaginal birth. Your height has nothing to do with being unable to have a vaginal birth. It has to do with your pelvis size and baby size. Unless there’s some medical reason to have to do a c section then you should be able to have your baby vaginally. Height don’t matter.

I was 15... 5'2 & 138lbs. I had a healthy boy vaginally with no complications and my body handled it pretty well. Do NOT let them gaslight you into having a C-section unless you want to or it's an emergency

I'm 5'3" and never had an issue. My OB with my last baby was seriously thinking the baby would be too big for me to deliver but I just ignored all that. He was 8lbs 9 oz and it wasn't in the slightest an issue for me. You should be just fine 🙏 drs get more money for a csection and they're not needed near as much as people have them.

My mom is 5’2” and had all 3 of us vaginally. I’m 5’3” and plan on a vaginal birth. Definitely agree with the other ladies—Don’t let your doctor pressure you into something or hijack your birth plan. Unless there is a legit medical reason for something to be done (like breech baby) stand your ground girl.

Height does not matter much.
But if you get GD or really overdue baby, it actually might be too big.
I am 5'4, mu husband is not much taller. My baby was normal weight. He was 41+5. But after 26 hours of labor and multiple problems that arose during labor, we went for urgent csection.
So what I am saying, is the doctor can warn you. And you can still say you want to try natural. You can always go to urgent csection if that doesn't work out for some reason.

I’m 4’11 and I’ve had 4 kids naturally and every single one of them was over 8.5lbs. You got this!! Ps congrats, I’m due with my 5th in a few weeks who I will be having naturally again God willing 🤗
