Spotting for a week and a half

I started spotting on the 2nd Jan as I was in my fertile week. I ovulated on the Monday (3rd) and have not stopped spotting since!

It was very red tinted discharge for the first few days after ovulation, then it was just a tint on the TP when I went to the bathroom. For most of this week it's just been dark brown, like old blood.

But then this morning it's back to being fresh blood again.

I'm not a stranger to ovulation spotting but certainly not for this long. My period is only due in shy of a week and due to the fact that we've been battling to conceive, I'm not even going to entertain the idea that this fresh bleeding might be implantation so I am genuinely concerned it might be an underlying health issue?

Has this happened to anyone else?
