11days pp c section

Hi, I had a section 11days ago but I haven’t seen my would yet. The dressing on the wound came off on day 2, but it is still covered with steri-strips at the moment and the consultant who did the section recommended leaving it on for at least 2 weeks pp.

When I had a check up with a midwife on day 7, she recommended removing the steri-strip ASAP to see the wound is healing ok… Did anyone remove the steri-strips on their own? When do they normally come off?
