Tantrums

Is it possible for babies to start having tantrums at 14 months? My LO didn't want to sit down in the car seat, was crying all the way home and then when we got home, she continued to cry while pushing off me to go down so i put her down sitting, cried more and more and crawled back to me to carry her only to cry some more lol. I didn't know what she wanted. As a FTM this was really overwhelming :(

Fast forward to bedtime she was crying lots again and I couldn't calm her down. She didn't want to be carried, rocked, or held.

Any ideas or tips? TIA
