Anxiety about solids, choking, intrusive thoughts
Hey everyone.
So, I’m not starting my baby on solids yet. We give her some purées, but I am having major major anxiety about choking for when that time comes. I am dreading ever giving her solid food. My anxiety gets so bad that I sit here and start crying over how truly terrified I am of something happening to her.
If you guys have given your baby food how did you start? What eased your mind?
I’ve taken a CPR class, watched videos, I have a lifevac, but nothing puts me at ease. I get intrusive thoughts all the time and it’s exhausting. Is this postpartum anxiety? Will it ever get easier? I worry about everything with her.
