What do you do with your kids teeth after they fall out?

I’m having a debate with my husband…what do you do with your kids teeth after the ‘tooth fairy takes them’?
It seems weird to just throw them out, but it is equally weird that I have a keepsake box in a cupboard with a ziplock bag of teeth in it 😬

My mom kept mine. That was back when DNA was a new thing; the local police had recommended saving baby teeth in case your child was ever lost, the DNA could be pulled and your child could be identified. My mom was a single mom, and losing me was her worst fear. We recently found them, and I now use them while training human remains detection dogs for my local Search and Rescue team. I plan on using my child’s teeth for the same thing.

I'd keep their firsts, but I've got 3 kids soon to be 4 and if I kept all their teeth I'd have 80 teeth 🤣 I feel like the first tooth lost is more sentimental

I kept my daughters cuz I honestly didn't know what to do with them and it felt weird to throw them out. Now that I think about it, it is weird. Lol oh well.
