Post Partum Bleeding

Hi guys, I am 5 weeks post partum. Since after birth I barely had any bleeding. I didn’t have to change my pad/diaper for a while. I had regular bleeding like a period. I stopped bleeding at 3.5 weeks. At 4 weeks, bleeding started again with heavy bleeding and small to medium clots. Its now 5 weeks and I am still having heavy heavyyy bleeding and clots. As soon as I stand up, I feel a gush of blood and run to the bathroom. It goes everywhere. I dont know if this is normal? I went to the doctors yesturday and told her about the heavy bleeding and she said its normal to bleed on and off for 6 weeks. I am also having cramps. I wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone before? I don’t get that much blood on my pad only when I stand up or use bathroom, alot of blood comes out.
