I've been debating on filing a report against this older lady that lives next door to my private property but I've never had anything like this happen before so I'm not sure what to do. I'm only 19 and I just moved into my apartment about 5 months ago. My boyfriend and I are always at work because of course rent has to be paid and I have a dog as well. About a month or so back I started getting notes on my car threatening to get it towed and poop thrown on my porch. I have cameras so I check them frequently and I caught the lady next door to me on camera doing these things. I confronted her about it and all she could say is how my car was blocking her trash can and how my dog keeps using the bathroom in her yard. (Which both are a lie) I clean up after my dog all of the time and I clean my area with bleach and water (to get rid of the bacteria and pee smell) and our apartment has a fence that we don't let him go out of we watch him so he won't run off somewhere. When I mentioned how he doesn't go in her yard when im out with him she claims to have not known I lived there and how she didn't know I had a dog and blah blah blah. Overtime she started coming outside whenever i go to take out the trash or get the mail and she watches me and she points to my apartment and speaks to a bunch of her male friends in different languages so I can't understand. I knew she was up to something I was just worried what it was going to be. Fast forward to tonight I get a knock on my door and animal control is at my door saying that she got an anonymous call about 2 dogs using the bathroom all over the complex and she describes my dog and the dog upstairs from me (which is the dog that runs all over the neighborhood) I explained to the officer that my dog isn't allowed outside the gate but it seems that she didn't care and said I could get a citation if there's another complaint (which I'm sure is going to happen again if the lady next door has anything to do with it) there are about 9 dogs and lots of stray cats in my area that run free but animal control happens to get sent to my address.🙄 I'm honestly not sure what to do if anyone has any advice please help. I'm thinking of calling the non-emergency number in the morning and filing a report but I feel like nothing will be done. I just want all of this harassment to stop. This is the 3rd time she's done something to me and I've never said or done anything to her.
